A wood cabinet manufacturer is locating a new production operation in Kokomo and adding up to 25 jobs by 2013. Kansas-based Westwind Wood Specialties says it will invest more than $1 million in a vacant manufacturing facility in preparation for beginning operations in July. Kokomo Mayor Greg Goodnight says the company looked at several communities and states across the Midwest, but chose the city for its "strong work force and business-friendly atmosphere."
